This trail is located in the Flambeau River State Forest. This forest is a gigantic range of pines and hardwoods, made even large by the adjoining Chequamegon National Forest to the north, making the entire area a natural reserve that is largely undeveloped. The trails are wide grass paths and the area is very swampy and water collects in the low-lying areas even in the driest part of the season. The terrain is very hilly and, though no major climbs are found, it is the sheer number of climbs that will exhaust most riders. The trails are bumpy, forcing you to earn every inch of ground.
