This route leaves from Marathon Park in Wausau and gradually climbs the ridge of Rib Mountain. Rib Mountain is a geographic wonder in the midst of beautiful rolling plains and hills. You will ride through several small towns, including Poniatowski, a town that is placed exactly halfway to the North Pole and halfway around the Western Hemisphere. Also on this ride you will encounter vast farmland, ginseng plots, and quaint towns filled with history. The terrain is rolling with a couple steep hills.
