Located just south of the Bessey Family Campground, the Dismal River Trail has about 10 miles of sandy trails alongn with some open play areas to explore. The trails are smooth and open year-round except during deer hunting season. A spark arresting exhaust silencer or end cap is required for all vehicles.

The Niobrara Trail is a multi-use trail that follows the old Chicago Northwestern Railroad. It passes through rolling hills with scenic views through grasslands, woodlands, and river bluffs. The trail is open to snowmobiling when there is 6 inches of snow.
