The Pat McGee Trail is a diverse and scenic trail that has a little something to offer for everyone. The trail passes through natural habitat that is home to a wide array of animal and plant life chronicled by informational signs along the way. The trail also connects seven different communities in the heart of southwest New York. The trail also passes over the Continental Divide. The trail is mostly crushed stone with sections of grass and asphalt.

The Keuka Lake Outlet is a historical and interesting natural feature in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region that provides some great scenery and recreational opportunity. The lake outlet is a stream that connects Keuka Lake to Seneca Lake with a long archaeological history. The stream was used for hydro-power dams, mills, and canal transportation. After locks on the stream were removed, lots of small waterfalls started to appear. This trail follows the stream providing excellent scenery. The trail consists of asphalt, ballast, gravel and dirt, and does have a gradual decline towards Seneca Lake that will be somewhat noticeable.

Fire Island National Seashore offers some excellent coastal riding along the Atlantic Ocean. A hard-packed jeep road allows riders access to the miles of scenic beaches and shoreline where water views and coastal breezes will be abundant. The jeep road connects to multiple beach communities and points of interest along the way including a lighthouse and some picturesque beaches. The ride is flat but the condition of the sand trail will vary depending on recent weather and usage.

The trail is made up of two linear segments that connect to form one large V shape. This ride follows the section that runs from east to the southwest between Canandaigua and Stanley.
