The Baja ORV Area is in a remote located with a network of play areas, and hardpacked trails to explore. It is open and mostly flat with a few hill climbs. It is open year-round but can be muddy during the spring. Camping is available with plenty of room for trailers. A spark arresting exhaust silencer or end cap is required for all vehicles.

Williams Draw follows a maintained dirt and gravel road that travels through the Black Hills. There are no major obstacles and it is suitable for 2WD vehicles. Dispersed camping is allowed but there are not many to choose from.

Smith Draw is located in the heart of the Mystic Ranger District. It explores the forest, and small gulches through unique nature. There are no major obstacles except a few mud holes. Watch for large trucks and heavy equipment used for logging operations.

China Gulch Road follows a well-maintained gravel road that is suitable for 2WD vehicles. The northern half has some small rocks and shallow creek crossings. Watch out for cattle free-ranging.

Black Hills National Forest is a premier offroad destination. The place is huge and has endless trails to explore. This ride begins at the Minnekahta Trailhead. It follows along seldomly used forest service roads, some gravel, and some highway. It is a fun loop just out of the city of Hot Springs. Some of the interesting places you’ll pass are Argyle Ghost Town, Beaver Creek Bridge, Booms Canyon Farmstead, Cold Springs Creek, and more.

Railroad Buttes offer a variety of terrain to explore, including hill climbs, singletrack trails, motocross tracks on hard-packed and smooth dirt. The staging area is large with plenty of room for RVs, and trailers. Camping is allowed and free but be aware there is no shade or amenities. A spark arresting exhaust silencer or end cap is required.
