Johnny Boulder is about the most accessible boulder in the Boulder Gardens area. It has some nice warmup routes on the back side. It's in Palo Duro Canyon State Park, which is one of the few climbing areas in the Amarillo area. Most of the available climbing is bouldering because of the poor rock quality. Please be delicate with the holds and try to preserve the classic routes. Some taller walls exist, but be extremely careful.

Hard Wood is an outstanding boulder, but you got to pay the price to get to it. It's in the Back Country area. Long hike and perhaps not worth it for just this boulder. But it does have good potential on every side. Maybe you can link a trip up with this and The Mothership to make it worthwhile. Really surprising and tempting boulders right on the edge of Bull Creek Park in the middle of Austin. Their vertical, seemingly smooth faces are begging to be climbed. Credit Parks Representative, James Crump for the pea-gravel at the base, which provides a little cushion for falls. The holds are mostly small pockets.

Cosmic Egg sits alone at the base of a cliff in the Indian Head Hills area of Big Bend National Park. The road there is not obvious. Stay on roads more to the north despite what driving directions might tell you. Cosmic Egg is about 25 ft high and has a few routes. They're not well documented so have at it. There are also some routes on the wall further to the east of the Egg but little is known of the quality of the routes or rock.
