Water Canyon is located in Red Cliffs Recreational Area and is a very popular hike. It is great for all skill levels. The further you go up the harder it gets. There are some forced swims and climbing. Cliff jumping is popular but always check water levels before jumping.

This route begins at the Upheaval Dome Trailhead. It offers a challenging hike with scrambling as it circles around Upheaval Dome. Scenery and views pay off and are spectacular. There are spur trails that provide access to the center of the crater and the Green River. Near the north side you will pass through a riparian area that offers water and shade.

The Herriman Foothills Flag hike is popular for residents living in the South West corner of the Salt Lake valley. Access can be made to the right of the Trailhead entrance off Butterfield Parkway. The entrance is misleading due to the residential neighborhood. The real access point is located off Herriman View Way (14440 South). The hike is a dirt, loose rock path through the Herriman Foothills, up the "saddleback" to an American Flag posted at the highest point. The Flag is a popular destination for geocaching.

Stewart Falls is a classic family hike located on the east side of Mt. Timpanogas. The trail leaves from the Aspen Grove Trailhead and is well-marked and easy to follow. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the beautiful two-tiered waterfalls that are over 200 ft. tall.

Lake Blanche is one of the most popular hikes along the Wasatch with good reason. Beginning in Big Cottonwood Canyon at the Mill B South Trailhead the trail climbs steadily through aspens, meadows and is well traveled and easy to follow. Expect impressive scenery surrounding you. Along with Lake Blanche there are two other lakes right next to each other; Lake Florence and Lake Lillian. Lake Blanche is the largest and sits directly below Sundial Peak and also offers excellent views of Dromedary Peak, Sunrise and Monte Cristo. The trailhead is very nice with a large parking area, restrooms, and a paved start.

Otter Creek Campground lies on the southern end of the reservoir. They offer single sites and 1 group site that can accommodate up to 100 people. Some sites are back-in and there are some that are pull-through. Showers, restrooms, a launch ramp, firepit and table are available. Visitors enjoy boating, fishing, bird watching and the convenient access to ATV trails. The nightly rate starts at $20.

Diamond Fork Hot Springs are located up Spanish Fork Canyon. These are some unique Hot Springs that are very popular. The trail is easy to follow and well traveled as it parallels along 5th water creek. There are three beautiful waterfalls and several pools to soak in. This is a very popular destination so expect large crowds on the weekends. Be aware that although it is illegal you may come across nude soakers.

Delicate Arch is a 65ft. Freestanding natural arch. It is the most recognized landmark in Arches National Park and is the well-known photo on Utah license plates. The route is a gradual climb along open slickrock on a well-defined trail. Just before reaching the arch the trail skirts along a rock ledge . There is no shade so summer hikes are a scorcher, bring lots of water.

Timpanogos Cave National Monument is known for its colorful and impressive stalactites and stalagmites. The trail to Timpanogos Cave is steep but paved the entire way. To enter the cave is a guided tour and tickets must be purchased at the visitor center before hiking. There are some steep drop-offs so keep your little ones close if they are hiking with you. The cave is awesome and about 45 degrees so bring a jacket if you're doing the tour. Weekends are busy so reserving online ahead of time is best so you're not waiting for hours.

This classic route to Red Pine Lake is a popular summer and winter destination. Beginning at the White Pine Trailhead up Little Cottonwood Canyon this trail leads to two high mountain alpine lakes that are beautiful. Views at the lake are spectacular and especially of the Majestic Pfeifferhorn as a backdrop. This routes takes you past Red Pine Lake and up to a smaller lake. The entire route is fairly direct and fairly gradual.
