This is an excellent downhill ride through a scenic canyon. There is at least one river crossing to get across Paintrock Creek, where there was a bridge but has since been burned down. The plotted route will take you through the Hyatt Ranch near the end of the ride. There is an agreement with the owner of this ranch to allow people through between May 10 and September 30.

A scenic uphill push on old logging roads that skirt the Wind River Wilderness Area. The return trip is the reward with plenty of downhill fun. The challenge is mostly aerobic and not so much technical riding.

If you choose to explore the rocks, try to make as little impact as is possible. Also, be prepared for sandy spots where it can be quite difficult to pedal.

Cliff Creek is a difficult climb but it is some of the best single track riding in Wyoming. Watch for logs, rocks, and low hanging tree branches. There are also several small creek crossings. The turnaround point is when you reach the waterfalls. Enjoy some fast and curvy singletrack on your way down.
