Hikers, bikers, cross-country skiers, snowshoers, joggers/runners and snowmobilers share the trails. Birdwatchers will be there too. The trails are flat and paved. For some of the path, you will have lake view. There is a patch of woods in the park, which the trail will touch.

Elinor Bedell State Park is one of Iowa’s newest state parks. It sits on the shore of East Lake Okoboji. The campground is small but offers 8 full hookups sites. Each site contains a picnic table and fire ring. There is also a small area for primitive tent camping for youth groups. Guests have access to restrooms and a dump station. The cost per night is $17.

East Koboji Lake is narrow and long. For mapping reasons, it has been divided in two sections. This side connects to the Koboji Lake with the put in at the Elinor Bedell State Park. The lake is surrounded by private residences, if you need to stop, make sure you are doing so in public property.
