This easy and scenic trail travels through an area of mixed pine and hardwood forest between Pollock Athletic Complex and Stuart Lake Recreation Area in the Kisatchie National Forest. The out-and-back hike is well-marked and has only mild changes in elevation making it a great choice for beginner hikers. There is also a short interpretive trail on the east side of Stuart Lake that can be added for some additional mileage. The trail is also open to mountain bikes so watch out for others on the trail.

There is no designated launch site and the lake only allows non-motorized boats keeping the waters peaceful and calm.
