This is a bruiser of a climb. The Mt Washington Auto Road ascends nearly a mile into the sky in a little less than eight miles. The payoff however is fantastic as the summit of this spin is the highest point in New England and offers incredible three hundred sixty degree views of the surrounding White Mountains. The Mt Washington Auto Road is a toll road and a parking permit is required in the White Mountain National Forest.

This ride takes you on a circuit around the highest mountains in the northeastern United States. It begins on White Mountain Road and descends the Jackson side of the pass and then bends back north through Crawford Notch. The route continues around the northern foot of the Presidential Range and returns to the beginning through Gorham. This ride is very strenuous with several long challenging climbs. A parking permit is required within the White Mountain National Forest.

This ride exits North Conway traveling up the Saco River Valley on the White Mountain Highway. Shortly after Bartlett the route dives south and makes about a twelve hundred foot climb through Bear Notch. You come to a junction with the Kancamagus Highway and head down canyon eventually coming to Albany Covered Bridge on the left that accesses quiet side for the remainder of the ride.

This loop is an excellent tour of the eastern White Mountains. The route takes you northeast out of North Conway and dips into Maine, climbing steeply over the White Mountains. You’ll descend quickly too and eventually arrives at the Androscoggin River. Following the Androscoggin upstream you’ll pass through Gorham and begin climbing White Mountain Road taking you through Pinkham Notch. From Pinkham Notch begins the long fast coast back to North Conway and your Vehicle.

This ride climbs steeply out of Lincoln into Warren on the Sawyer Highway and then cruises along the Moosilauke Highway into Plymouth. From Plymouth the ride parallels the Pemigewasset River north to return to Lincoln. The route passes through dense woodlands in the western White Mountains and explores scenic New England countryside.
