After you pass the climb, there will be a gradual descent. There will be short stretches of busy streets with heavier traffic throughout the ride. Plan on rolling hills for long stretches.

During the summer months, you will share the narrow Sandbridge Road with all the tourists at the vacation spot of Sandbridge Beach; it is recommended to avoid high season. You will cruise by many restaurants, small businesses and fresh seafood stands. Midway you will find the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. There are trails for bikes that can handle gravel. At the turning point of the ride, you will find False Cape State Park. Bikes are welcome and the scenery is something you will truly enjoy.
