Cutler Lake is located in Blue Rock State Park. This lake is a peaceful and beautiful place to paddle and escape to. There are rugged hills and rich green forests that provide a scenic backdrop. Only electric and hand-propelled boats are permitted.

Nestled in Pennsylvania's Appalachians, and are fed by Evitts Creek, Lake Koon has amazing views with a very peaceful setting. Because the lake is a municipal water supply, development of the surrounding area is restricted, and the scenic beauty has remained unspoiled. Canoeing and kayaking on the lake is highly recommended and one of the best lakes to do so in the state.

Belmont Lake is an scenic lake with lots of recreation to enjoy. The shore is lined with mature woodlands and lots of wildlife. Only electric motors and hand propelled boats are allowed so paddling makes for a peaceful way to enjoy the lake. People also enjoy picnicking, camping, hunting and fishing here.

Forked Run Lake is a small scenic lake nestled in the forested hills. Motor boats are restricted to under 10 horse power which makes for a pleasant paddle experience on the lake. There are hiking trails and lots of wildlife to see.

Mount Storm Lake is a popular tourist destination located in Grant County. This 1200 acre lake was built in 1965 as a cooling lake for power generation. The power plant is operated by Dominion Virginia Power and heats the reservoir to 20-25 degrees above normal. The lake is up to 160 feet deep and the bottom can be clearly seen at depths of at least five feet on an overcast day. This boat ramp is for seasonal use and is located on the side of the lake near the power plant.

Jennings Randolph Lake is located on the North Branch Potomac River in Garrett County. It was constructed by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1981. The dam was built to make a freshwater reservoir and to control flooding on the North Branch of the Potomac River. It offers a pleasant place for canoeing, fishing and just relaxing. The boat ramp is located at the Howell Run Lake Access area.

Sutton Lake is a beautiful and clear lake located on the Elk River in Braxton County. This lake covers 1440 acres and offers 40 miles of shore line. The deepest section of the lake is at the dam which is 125 feet deep. The lake was built by the Army Corps of Engineers Flood Control and Water Quality Project for flood control of the Elk, Kanawha and Ohio Rivers. The lake is surrounded by beautiful wooded forests with no commercial development. This boat ramp is located in the South Abutment day use area near the Sutton dam.

Lake Sherwood was built in 1958 and is located in Greenbrier County. The 164 acre lake is the largest reservoir in the Monongahela National Forest. The lake has a maximum depth of 20 feet and an average depth of 10 feet. Swimming beaches, picnic areas, campgrounds and several hiking trails make this a popular family recreation area. The banks are lined with thick pine forests that offer beautiful scenery. The Boat ramp is located in the Lake Sherwood Recreation Area.

Cheat lake is on the Cheat River located in Monongalia County. It is 1730 acres and 13 miles long. The lake was built in 1925 as a power generating reservoir. The majority of the lake has heavy power boat traffic during the weekends in the summer. This boat ramp is located at Edgewater Marina.
