This hiking adventure utilizes the Superior Hiking Trail, traveling through heavily forested areas near the Northern Shores of Lake Superior. The latter parts of the trail wind through the beautiful Manitou State Park. Wildlife that may be seen on this hike includes foxes, deer, bears, and a variety of bird species. Be aware that there is a parking fee at Manitou State Park. Also, this is a wet-feet adventure, you must cross at least two shallow rivers, so prepare accordingly.
